Job Description

Providing essential speech-language services across a dynamic school environment, this full-time contract opportunity is ideal for licensed Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) seeking a rewarding position within the education sector. Located in Hesperia, CA, this role supports the academic and communication needs of students from PreK through 12th grade during the 2025-2026 school year starting in August.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver comprehensive speech-language pathology services aligned with typical SLP duties.
  • Manage an average caseload of approximately 55 students with mild to moderate disabilities.
  • Collaborate with school staff and families to implement individualized education plans (IEPs).
  • Utilize in-house training and resources to enhance professional skills and student outcomes.
  • Flexibly accommodate daily work hours of 6.5 to 8 hours, ensuring compliance with district requirements and caseload demands.
  • Provide support across elementary, middle, and high school settings, with opportunities to work alongside Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs) where applicable.

Qualifications / Desired Experience:

  • Valid California SLP License or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) credential.
  • ASHA CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence) preferred.
  • Experience in school-based SLP services highly valued.
  • Familiarity with pediatric and educational speech-language pathology practices.
  • Ability to work effectively with a diverse student population.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
