Job Description
Step into a rewarding role supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist! This in-person, contract position focuses on students in grades K5 and offers you the chance to make a significant difference in their academic and personal development. Located conveniently near Flushing, MI, this opportunity runs through the end of the current school year and is open to both full-time (37.5 hours per week) and part-time applicants, providing the flexibility to fit your lifestyle and commitments.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Valid state licensure or eligibility as an SLP
- Experience working with pediatric populations, preferably in elementary school settings
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for diverse student needs
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized intervention plans for students in grades K5
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services in alignment with each students IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress and generalize skills
- Maintain required documentation and write progress reports
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Provide strategies and resources to educators to foster language development and communication success in the classroom
