Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting K-12 students as a highly skilled Speech-Language Pathologist near Flora, MS. This position offers the chance to work with a diverse student population with mild to moderate general and special education needs. Youll collaborate with a dedicated school team to provide vital speech and language services via both in-person and teletherapy modalities. The assignment runs ASAP through June 2023, offering a consistent, full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week.

Highlights of the qualifications and preferred experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
  • Active MS SLP license (or pending)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC) preferred; strong SLP-CFY candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience in school settings and pediatric populations
  • Proficiency in assessments, evaluations, developing/implementing IEPs, and direct therapy
  • Teletherapy experience is a plus
  • Flexibility and adaptability for varied caseloads and disabilities
  • Ability to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and school staff

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Conducting speech and language assessments and evaluations for K-12 students with mild to moderate special needs
  • Delivering direct and indirect therapy services in accordance with IEPs
  • Participating in the IEP process, including goal development, progress monitoring, and team meetings
  • Utilizing both in-person and teletherapy service delivery methods based on student needs
  • Maintaining organized records, documentation, and reports as required by the district
