Job Description

This contract opportunity is for a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) providing services in a K-12 school setting in the Flora, Mississippi area. The role involves working with a diverse caseload of students with mild to moderate general and special education needs across varied speech and language disabilities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments and evaluations
  • Deliver direct speech therapy to students across kindergarten through 12th grade
  • Develop, implement, and monitor Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Collaborate with educators and other professionals to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and compliance with school policies

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid Mississippi SLP License required
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) preferred
  • Experience in school-based speech-language pathology
  • Familiarity with pediatric populations in educational and healthcare settings
  • Teletherapy experience is a plus but not mandatory
  • Ability to manage diverse cases including mild to moderate speech and language disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for engaging with students, parents, and staff

Location and Schedule:

  • Position based in Flora, MS with opportunities across Jackson, Rolling Fork, and Vicksburg areas
  • 37.5 hours per week, full-time contract assignment
  • Start date as soon as possible, continuing through June 2023
