A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available in an elementary school setting serving grades K-5 in Flint, MI. This in-person role offers a unique opportunity to work directly with young students, providing essential speech and language support to enhance their educational experience. The position is contracted through the remainder of the school year, with a schedule of 37.5 hours per week; part-time applicants will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech and language therapy services to K-5 students.
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to develop and implement effective treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate records and progress notes in compliance with educational standards.
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success.
Qualifications:
- Valid state licensure or certification in Speech-Language Pathology.
- Experience working in an elementary school environment preferred.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to develop engaging, age-appropriate therapy activities.
- Knowledge of speech and language development in early childhood.
