As a key member of a multidisciplinary team, youll play a pivotal role in helping students develop essential communication skills, supporting both their academic journey and personal growth across elementary, middle, and high school environments.
Preferred Skills & Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Experience in school settings or with pediatric/young audiences preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration abilities
- Adaptability to work across various age groups and education levels
- Commitment to ongoing professional development
Primary Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide therapy for students with speech and language disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to foster student progress
- Maintain accurate records and thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide recommendations for speech-language strategies and supports
- Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions
- Monitor student progress and adjust plans as needed for success
