This opportunity is available for the current school year, with the potential for extension into the next year depending on exceptional performance.
Your skills will support students in reaching their communication goals and ensure positive educational experiences. The ideal candidate demonstrates expertise, clear communication, and a collaborative approach within diverse educational environments.
Qualifications:
- Active Michigan SLP license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) is mandatory
- Experience in school-based settings with early childhood, elementary, middle, and high school populations
- Strong organizational and documentation abilities
- Effective collaboration skills with educators, administrators, and families
- Commitment to fostering a positive, inclusive learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct and consultative SLP services aligned with student needs
- Maintain accurate records and progress reports
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and multidisciplinary teams
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to student planning discussions
- Serve students across multiple school levels as assigned
