Preferred Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA preferred, but strong CFY candidates will also be considered
- Experience working with school-aged children is highly regarded
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches for diverse student populations
- Skilled in conducting assessments and developing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Comfortable working both independently and as part of a team
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy tailored to students individual education plans (IEPs)
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in a school setting
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to develop effective support strategies
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Contribute to the creation of a positive, supportive learning environment for all students
