Job Description
Make a meaningful impact this school year by supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position focuses on students in grades K-5, providing services in a collaborative, in-person school environment near Farmington, MI. Both full-time and part-time applicants are welcome to apply; full-time is structured at 37.5 hours per week. This is a great opportunity to work with a dedicated team through the remainder of the school year.
Required Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current licensure as an SLP in Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
- Previous experience in an elementary school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students K-5
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Collaborative spirit with teachers, parents, and other professionals
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct diagnostic evaluations and create individualized treatment plans for students
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy services, adapting interventions to each childs unique needs
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions
- Consult with classroom teachers and provide recommendations for supporting students communication needs within the general education setting
