Key Qualifications:
- Active New York SLP license required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC)
- Experience working with K-12 students preferred
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Collaborative approach and enthusiasm for fostering student success
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary through high school students
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) and tailor interventions to each students needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other professionals to support students educational goals
- Maintain accurate and thorough records of student progress and therapy sessions
- Provide guidance and training to school staff and parents on best practices in speech and language development
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure a comprehensive approach to student support
