This full-time, contract opportunity runs through the 2026-2027 academic year, offering the chance to work closely with students, educators, and families to help children grow their communication skills and confidence.
Qualifications:
- Active New York Speech Language Pathologist license
- TSSDL credential (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
- Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
- Certification as SLP-CCC is an asset
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students communication needs through evaluations and standardized testing
- Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with clear, measurable goals
- Deliver direct speech-language therapy and consultative support to students, primarily at the elementary level
- Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to integrate therapy into daily routines and classroom activities
- Document progress and maintain compliance with all school and state regulations
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
