Job Description

Qualifications:

  • Active New York Speech Language Pathologist license
  • TSSDL credential (Teacher of Students with Speech and Language Disabilities)
  • Previous school-based SLP experience is preferred
  • Certification as SLP-CCC is an asset
  • Strong interpersonal, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess students communication needs through evaluations and standardized testing
  • Develop individualized education plans (IEPs) with clear, measurable goals
  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy and consultative support to students, primarily at the elementary level
  • Collaborate with teachers, special educators, and families to integrate therapy into daily routines and classroom activities
  • Document progress and maintain compliance with all school and state regulations
  • Participate actively in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
