Job Description

Make a positive impact on students lives as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist working within a supportive school environment. In this school-based contract position, you will have the opportunity to empower learners with communication challenges and collaborate with fellow educators and families to foster both academic progress and social growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments to identify speech, language, and swallowing disorders in students
  • Develop and implement effective Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) tailored to diverse student needs
  • Deliver engaging, direct therapy for individuals and groups, targeting specific speech and language objectives
  • Work closely with teachers, families, and support staff to monitor and enhance student progress
  • Integrate literacy and communication strategies into curriculum planning
  • Identify at-risk students and participate in early intervention strategies
  • Ensure meticulous documentation to maintain compliance and track outcomes
  • Offer leadership and guidance through supervision of student clinicians, clinical fellows, and SLPAs

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current state licensure and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP), or eligibility to obtain
  • Previous school-based experience is valued, but all passionate candidates are encouraged to apply
  • Strong teamwork, organization, and communication skills
