A part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to provide on-site therapy services for students in multiple educational settings across Northern Virginia, approximately 45 minutes south of Washington, D.C. This contract position requires hands-on experience working with elementary-aged children in both school and home environments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy to a 4th-grade student in a home setting.
- Provide therapy services to a 2nd-grade student within a school environment.
- Support up to two students at a private day school in Manassas temporarily, while a new therapist is sought.
- Collaborate with educational staff and family members to develop and implement individualized therapy plans.
- Maintain accurate service documentation and ensure compliance with all state requirements.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure is mandatory.
- Experience working with school-aged children preferred, but new graduates with appropriate licensure are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to work on-site with no virtual therapy options available.
- Must complete the Virginia Department of Social Services background check promptly.
- Required to have a current TB test as per Virginia state regulations.
- Strong communication skills and flexibility with scheduling within the specified hours.
Position Details:
- Location: Northern Virginia, including Stafford County and Manassas.
- Employment Type: Part-time contract.
- Hours: 10-15 hours per week.
- Contract Dates: Immediate start through May 29, 2026.
- Caseload: Three schools/locations.
