Job Description

A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support K-12 students in the Washington DC area. This contract role runs from ASAP through May 29, 2026, with the potential for part-time candidates who can commit to at least 20 hours per week. Caseloads focus mainly on elementary and middle school students, with a maximum of 55 students per therapist and typically around 50. Assignments involve one to two schools per SLP, with placement determined based on candidate fit and discussed during the interview process.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Active Virginia SLP licensure
  • CCC certification required (Candidates completing Clinical Fellowship (CF) are welcome; supervision will be provided)
  • Willingness to work onsite only; no virtual or hybrid options available
  • Experience in school settings preferred, though willing to consider candidates without prior school experience
  • Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) resumes are also welcome for review

Responsibilities and duties include:

  • Providing comprehensive speech-language services to K-12 students
  • Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
  • Collaborating with educators and support staff to promote student communication goals
  • Monitoring and documenting student progress

Location: Washington DC area (assignments vary based on suitability)
