This role focuses on delivering quality speech and language services to a diverse K-12 student population, ranging from early learners to high schoolers, across a standard workweek of 37.5 hours. Support and resources are available for both experienced school-based clinicians and those with a passion for pediatric care who are eager to transition into the educational setting.
Qualifications:
- Possess an active South Carolina Speech Pathologist License and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Strong interest in or prior experience with pediatric or school-based speech language pathology
- Open to CFY candidates committed to serving students communication needs
- Demonstrated enthusiasm for student development and educational achievement
- Proficiency or interest in teletherapy is valued but not required
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and virtual speech/language therapy for K-12 students
- Complete evaluations, develop individualized treatment plans, and document student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other clinicians to support student learning goals
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to interdisciplinary teams
- Adapt therapy techniques to meet a range of individual needs within the school setting
