Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologist needed for a full-time contracted position serving K-12 students in a Texas school setting. This role is ideal for licensed professionals experienced in school-based SLP services, particularly those ready to manage a high caseload and address significant service gaps.

Location: This position is based on-site in Fabens, TX, within the Lower Valley area. Two school assignments are possible: primarily a high school with no speech services provided all year, or alternatively a K-8 school with about a month without services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide comprehensive speech-language therapy services to a caseload of up to 64 high school students or 40 K-8 students.
  • Deliver communication services, develop and implement IEPs, and manage extensive service backlogs.
  • Conduct evaluations and ongoing assessments to support student progress.
  • Collaborate with educators and staff to integrate speech goals into the broader educational plan.
  • Maintain detailed records and compliance with state licensure requirements and school district policies.

Qualifications:

  • Valid State Licensure for Speech-Language Pathology is required.
  • Experience working in K-12 educational settings is strongly preferred.
  • Ability to handle large caseloads and address previous gaps in service delivery.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage documentation, IEPs, and compliance.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not mandatory.

Additional Details:

  • Contract duration: Through June 12, 2026.
  • Full-time preferred; part-time considered if full days are worked.
