Step into a rewarding in-person contract role supporting diverse learners within a prominent school network serving communities from Chicago up to North Chicago. This full-time opportunity runs from July 2026 through June 2027, providing services across multiple campuses offering PreK-8 and K-8 programs. The position is ideal for a Speech-Language Pathologist holding current CCC credentials, with a preference for Spanish-bilingual candidates, though bilingualism is not a requirement. Candidates will mainly cover PreK-8 and K-8 sites, with a potential need at a third location.
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Illinois state licensure or eligibility to obtain
- Experience in a school setting, supporting students from PreK through 8th grade
- Bilingual Spanish skills preferred, but not required
- Strong organization and communication abilities
- Ability to adapt assessments and strategies to support diverse student populations
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy services to students with varied needs
- Conduct screenings, assessments, and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to maximize student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in line with district and state requirements
- Contribute expertise in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Travel between assigned campuses as needed (all within the greater Chicago and North Chicago areas)
