Step into a rewarding contract position as a school-based Speech Language Pathologist, serving students from early childhood through middle school. Work onsite near Evanston, IL, supporting a diverse caseload and collaborating with an engaged educational team to make a significant impact in students lives. This position offers a consistent schedule of 37.5 hours per week and the opportunity to help students overcome communication challenges while contributing to school initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) with SLP Endorsement
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC)
- Experience working with pediatric populations and in school settings is highly desirable
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate students speech, language, and communication needs through formal and informal assessments
- Develop and implement tailored Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) for students with speech and language disorders
- Deliver therapy sessions for students across early-childhood to middle school grade levels
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, families, and other service providers to support students academic and communication goals
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings, IEP conferences, and professional development as needed
