Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting K-12 students in a public charter school setting near Evanston, IL. As a Speech-Language Pathologist, you'll utilize your specialized expertise to help students develop vital communication skills that set the foundation for their learning and confidence.
Your credentials as an SLP with a valid IL SLP license and Professional Educator License (PEL) will enable you to provide high-quality intervention and support. This assignment offers a flexible schedule, with 2.5 to 3 days per week onsite and a dynamic, diverse caseload ranging across grade levels.
Qualifications & Experience Desired:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- IL SLP license and current Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience in a school setting working with K-12 students
- Strong collaboration abilities and excellent communication skills
- Passion for fostering student growth within public charter school environments
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals for students across K-12
- Deliver therapy sessions individually or in groups, adapting approaches for student needs
- Collaborate closely with educators, families, and support staff
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the wider school team
