Job Description

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Hold a valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with an SLP Endorsement
  • Experience or strong interest in working with elementary-aged children
  • Comfort using a push-in service delivery model within K-5 classrooms
  • Familiarity with ASD, cerebral palsy, learning disabilities, and a variety of communication needs
  • Strong collaboration skills to partner with educators and special education teams
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech/language therapy to a caseload of approximately 20-40 students
  • Develop and implement targeted intervention plans based on individual student needs
  • Deliver services primarily through a push-in model, collaborating with teachers within classroom environments
  • Participate in IEP meetings, team collaboration, and ongoing progress monitoring
  • Maintain accurate and timely student records and assess student progress
  • Offer education and support to families and staff regarding student strategies and progress
