Job Description
Make a significant impact in early childhood education by providing vital speech and language services to pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students. This onsite contract opportunity offers the chance to support young learners communication development as part of a caring educational environment. You'll work with a manageable caseload of approximately 25-35 students, becoming an integral partner in their progress throughout the academic year.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid SLP license; out-of-state applicants considered if willing to obtain California certification
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience working in school settings, particularly with PreK and Kindergarten students, is advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative, team-oriented mindset
- Ability to design and implement individualized therapy plans and collect ongoing data
Core Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language therapy to PreK and Kindergarten students
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and participate in multidisciplinary team meetings
- Develop, implement, and update IEP goals in collaboration with teachers and families
- Maintain accurate records and document student progress regularly
- Communicate effectively with caregivers, staff, and administrators to ensure a supportive learning environment
- Remain current with best practices in pediatric speech-language pathology and educational requirements
