Job Description

Speech-Language Pathologists with a passion for working in school-based settings are invited to apply for a contract position supporting middle school students this fall. This role covers a maternity leave from October through mid-December, offering a valuable opportunity to make a difference during a critical portion of the academic year.

Qualifications and Skills

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current CA SLP licensure (required)
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) applicants considered
  • Experience in pediatrics, school-based settings, or healthcare preferred
  • Comfort with a full-time onsite schedule
  • Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
  • Ability to work effectively with students, educators, and families

Primary Responsibilities

  • Provide evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment for speech, language, and communication disorders in a middle school population
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to students needs
  • Maintain accurate records, write reports, and contribute to IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and parents to support student progress
  • Deliver direct and consultative services in compliance with school guidelines
  • Travel between three school sites within the assignment
