What Were Looking For:

  • Current and valid Speech-Language Pathology license (SLP) for New York State
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) required
  • Experience in school-based SLP services is highly desirable
  • Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
  • Ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet diverse student needs
  • Comfortable working independently and as part of a multidisciplinary education team
  • Tech-savvy candidates encouraged for potential future virtual assignments

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver evidence-based speech, language, and communication therapy for assigned student caseload
  • Conduct assessments, develop individualized education program (IEP) goals, and monitor student progress
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and reports as per state and district requirements
  • Attend IEP meetings and provide expert guidance relating to student support plans
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities offered by the district
