This full-time contract position offers the opportunity to provide speech-language pathology services across the academic year, from early September through early June (exact 2026-2027 school calendar dates forthcoming). Qualifications & Desired Experience
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid New York SLP license and active ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)
- Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred
- Ability to adapt speech/language interventions to various student needs and collaborate with multidisciplinary school teams
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Willingness to work onsite, with openness to virtual work as determined closer to the contract start
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and progress monitor student goals
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and staff to support student achievement
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of sessions and progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute clinical insights
- Flexibly manage a caseload as assigned; adapt to caseload and program changes as needed
