Job Description

A full-time Speech Therapist position is available to provide specialized speech-language pathology services within a K-12 school setting. This contract role supports students across all grade levels, from kindergarten through 12th grade, with an emphasis on pediatric speech therapy. The position is located in Elmwood Park, IL, and is ideal for professionals holding an Illinois Speech-Language Pathology license and a Professional Educator License (PEL).

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL)
  • Experience working with pediatric populations in a school setting
  • Certification in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) strongly preferred
  • Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) for entry-level candidates considered

Responsibilities include:

  • Conducting comprehensive assessments to diagnose speech, language, and communication disorders in children
  • Developing individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and educational goals
  • Collaborating with educators, parents, and healthcare professionals to support student progress
  • Documenting and maintaining records as required by school policies and regulatory standards
  • Providing direct therapy services and consulting with staff to integrate speech-language goals across environments
