Step into a rewarding opportunity as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist, supporting students communication and language development at a vibrant middle school setting. Youll partner with educators, families, and fellow professionals to ensure every student enjoys an inclusive, engaging learning experience during the academic year, from August 2026 through May 2027.
Qualifications/Preferred Experience:
- Current and active SLP license (Speech-Language Pathologist)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from ASHA
- Experience working in school-based settings
- Bilingual skills are a plus, but not required
- Strong commitment to collaborative, student-centered care
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to a full-time caseload of middle school students
- Conduct thorough assessments, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborate during multidisciplinary team meetings
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and contribute to documentation as required by state and local guidelines
- Offer consultation and training to teachers, staff, and families to support generalization of skills
- Participate in school-wide initiatives, professional development, and ongoing program review
