Job Description
A school district in Elizabeth, NJ is seeking five skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for immediate contract placements through the end of the school year. These positions offer the opportunity to work onsite in a dynamic educational environment serving a diverse student population.
Openings include four full-time roles (37.5 hours per week) and one part-time role (25 hours per week). Most positions serve high school students, with one full-time opening focused on Pre-K to Kindergarten and the part-time position based at an elementary school. These roles involve managing caseloads at one or multiple schools, providing targeted speech and language therapy services to students across various grade levels.
Key responsibilities include:
- Delivering evidence-based speech-language therapy interventions tailored to individual student needs
- Collaborating with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student communication goals
- Documenting progress and maintaining all required records and reports in compliance with district policies
- Participating in school meetings and contributing to Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
Qualifications:
- Current New Jersey School Certification in Speech-Language Pathology
- Relevant licenses and credentials to practice within school settings (SLP, CCC, Pediatrics, CFY experience preferred)
- Ability to deliver onsite services effectively within school environments
- Strong communication and organizational skills
