Make a meaningful impact by supporting young learners at an Early Childhood Center as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract opportunity offers full-time hours, working with children at a pivotal stage in their development. Youll be part of a collaborative educational environment in Mount Prospect, IL, providing essential speech and language support for preschool-aged students.
Qualifications:
- Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Professional Educator License (PEL) in Illinois
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- Experience in pediatric and school-based settings, especially early childhood, preferred
- Strong communication and teamwork skills, with a passion for fostering growth in young children
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in early childhood students
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans in collaboration with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Participate in IEP meetings and provide input on students progress and therapeutic interventions
- Maintain confidential and thorough documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Create engaging activities to support language and communication development in a classroom setting
- Serve as a resource for school staff and families regarding speech and language development
