Job Description

Step into a dynamic contract opportunity as a Speech-Language Pathologist serving students in an educational setting near Elgin, IL. Perfect for SLPs with a passion for supporting young learners, this role welcomes those with SLP - CCC, SLP - CFY, backgrounds in pediatric therapy, healthcare, and school-based or teletherapy experience.

The position is set to begin in mid-August and continues through the end of May, spanning the entire academic year. As an itinerant provider, youll support students across multiple sites, collaborating closely with educators and staff to deliver direct and consultative services. This setting values flexibility and adaptability, with the potential for a varied caseload and opportunities to utilize innovative therapy models. Convenient onboarding includes a virtual interview process and training on the districts IEP system.

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Current Illinois SLP license or eligibility
  • ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred; strong CFY candidates encouraged to apply
  • Experience in school settings, healthcare, pediatrics, or teletherapy
  • Skilled in developing IEPs, conducting assessments, and planning therapy for diverse needs
  • Excellent communication skills and comfort with itinerant service delivery

Responsibilities:

  • Deliver speech and language therapy for students with varied communication needs
  • Conduct assessments, develop and monitor IEP goals, and document progress
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and participate in meetings as required
  • Engage families and staff in supporting student outcomes
  • Participate in ongoing professional development and district training
