Job Description

A full-time Speech Therapist is needed for a K-12 school located in Elgin, IL, for the contract school year (CSY). This role provides an excellent opportunity to work with a diverse student population across all grade levels in a dynamic educational setting. The position requires experience and skills in pediatric speech-language pathology within a school environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders in students from kindergarten through 12th grade.
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that meet each students needs and educational goals.
  • Collaborate with educators, parents, and other professionals to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and progress reports in compliance with school and state regulations.
  • Participate in Individualized Education Plan (IEP) meetings and contribute professional expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Illinois Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) license.
  • Provisional Educator License (PEL) required.
  • Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) experience preferred but not mandatory.
  • Skills in pediatric speech therapy and comprehensive understanding of educational speech-language pathology.
