Job Description
This contract position offers certified Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) the opportunity to support students across multiple locations within El Dorado County, California, for the 2026-2027 school year. The district spans a broad area, with most sites located between El Dorado Hills and Camino. Assignments will be confirmed closer to May, with a high likelihood of an itinerant role requiring travel between campuses.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluation, therapy, and support services to students with mild to moderate, and occasionally severe, speech and language needs.
- Flexibly manage caseloads that vary in size depending on the assignment.
- Deliver onsite SLP supervision for Clinical Fellows (CFs) and Speech-Language Pathology Assistants (SLPAs), where applicable.
- Collaborate with school personnel and families to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
- Maintain compliance with district policies and standard California SLP licensing requirements.
- Travel between multiple school sites, adapting to possible changes in assignments throughout the semester.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid California Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
- Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) and prior school-based experience preferred.
- Familiarity with the CA Schools system and SEIS software highly regarded.
- Candidates must be comfortable with onsite work and travel, including potential assignments up to 90 minutes east toward Lake Tahoe or 45 minutes west toward Sacramento.
- Experience in managing varied caseloads, including mild to moderate speech disorders and some severe cases.
- Willingness to provide supervision for CFs and SLPAs is a plus.
