Step into an engaging opportunity supporting secondary students with diverse needs in a collaborative school environment for the upcoming academic year. This contract position involves working 35 hours per week, managing a caseload of approximately 45-50 students. Make a lasting difference by providing essential speech-language services primarily to students identified with Other Health Impairments (OHI), Learning Disabilities, Autism, and Language Impairment.
Required Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active Maryland SLP license
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) preferred
- Experience or strong interest in working with secondary-age students
- Skilled in providing therapy for a range of exceptionalities, including OHI, learning disabilities, autism, and language impairment
- Excellent interpersonal and communication abilities for working with students, staff, and families
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver evidence-based assessment and intervention individually and in small groups
- Develop, implement, and monitor IEP goals tailored to student needs
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records according to district and professional standards
- Collaborate closely with classroom teachers, special educators, and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide caregiver education and support when needed
- Engage in ongoing professional development relevant to school-based speech and language services
