Job Description

A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position is available to support students from Kindergarten through 5th grade in an elementary school setting. This role is based in East Lansing, MI, and provides an opportunity to make a meaningful impact on young learners communication skills during the remainder of the current school year.

This full-time position involves working 37.5 hours per week in person, with part-time applicants also considered. Benefits are included, supporting your well-being as you contribute to a positive educational environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech and language assessments for students in grades K-5
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students needs
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support student progress
  • Provide direct speech-language intervention to improve communication skills
  • Document student progress and participate in team meetings

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid SLP license or certification appropriate for school settings
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably K-5
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Ability to work effectively within a school team
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
