Job Description

A well-established school district in Anchorage, AK is seeking experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) for the academic year. This full-time contract position offers a diverse and fulfilling caseload working with students across all age groups, primarily serving mild to moderate speech and language disabilities. The average caseload varies by school level, ranging from approximately 45 students in elementary schools to around 60 in high school, including many consultation cases.

Location: Anchorage, Alaska (with opportunities in surrounding areas such as Point Mackenzie, Butte, and Palmer)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide speech and language assessments and therapy services to students across various age ranges.
  • Collaborate with educational teams to develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Manage caseloads effectively, adapting strategies to meet individual student needs.
  • Participate in school-based multidisciplinary meetings to support student progress.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation in compliance with state and district guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • Valid Alaska Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license.
  • Alaska Department of Education & Early Development (DEED) teaching certification.
  • Experience managing diverse caseloads including mild to moderate speech and language disorders.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills within educational settings.
  • Ability to respond promptly to interview and onboarding processes.
