As an SLP, you'll use your clinical skills to assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders within a dynamic educational setting. Your collaboration with teachers, administrators, and families will enable students to thrive academically and socially.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred, CFY considered
- Previous school-based or pediatric SLP experience is a plus
- Strong communication, organization, and teamwork abilities
Primary Responsibilities:
- Screen and assess students to identify communication disorders and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services tailored to students needs in both individual and group settings
- Document service delivery and monitor student progress toward goals
- Collaborate with classroom teachers, special education staff, and families to support academic achievement
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Educate staff and families on strategies to promote language development and communication skills
