As a Speech-Language Pathologist, youll work on-site in a dynamic educational environment near Dumfries, VA, about 45 minutes south of Washington, DC. This full-time role runs from August 3, 2026, through May 27, 2027, aligning with a standard 185-day school calendar and offering assignments across multiple school levelselementary, middle, and high school.
Your speech and language expertise will support diverse age groups, with specific assignments and caseloads tailored to your interests and strengths. Collaboration with educators and families will be at the heart of your work, helping students build communication skills that set them up for success.
Qualifications:
- Active Virginia SLP licensure (required)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based speech-language pathology
- Ability to adapt and support a wide range of student needs
- Start the Virginia Department of Social Services check promptly upon hiring
- Completion of required VA TB Test before start date
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations, develop, and implement IEPs for students requiring speech and language services
- Deliver targeted interventions through individual and group therapy
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and student progress reviews
