Step into a dynamic contract position as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting preschool students, ages 3 to 5, with special education needs in Adams County. As an SLP-CCCor a Candidate for Clinical Fellowship Yearyoull travel to various sites in the New Oxford and Gettysburg areas, impacting young learners lives through evidence-based therapy and collaborative support.
In this itinerant role, youll follow a 188-day preschool stretch calendar. Enjoy a schedule of 8:00 AM to 3:30 PM, not exceeding 35 hours per week, with built-in paperwork time set aside weekly to help maintain your workflow and work-life balance. The district provides tools to ensure your success, including a laptop, iPad, Lesson Pix subscription, testing kits, and additional materials for therapy sessions.
Desired Qualifications:
- Active Pennsylvania SLP License (or eligibility)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)-SLP preferred; will consider CFY candidates
- Experience or strong interest in early childhood/preschool populations
- Knowledge of best practices in serving students with special education needs
- Ability to thrive in an itinerant setting and manage a varied caseload
- Strong collaboration and communication skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language services to preschool students (ages 3-5)
- Conduct evaluations, develop IEPs, and track student progress
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers
- Travel between sites in Adams County as an itinerant SLP
- Maintain documentation and participate in meetings as needed
- Utilize provided technology and materials to support therapy delivery
