In this rewarding full-time contract opportunity, youll provide direct speech and language services to children in grades K-5. Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid SLP license for the state of Michigan (or eligibility to obtain)
- CCC-SLP or strong CFY candidates considered
- Previous experience supporting elementary-aged students (K-5) in a school or pediatric setting
- Strong understanding of IEP process and experience with assessment, treatment planning, and implementation
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and documentation skills
- Comfortable working in-person with young children and school personnel
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individual and group speech-language therapy to elementary students as specified in their IEPs
- Screen, evaluate, and diagnose speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized intervention plans tailored to student abilities
- Engage families and teachers by sharing strategies and progress updates
- Maintain thorough, accurate records of sessions and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings, staff collaborations, and professional development
