Job Description
A full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed to support elementary students in grades K through 5 at an in-person school setting located in Detroit, MI. This contract position runs through the remainder of the school year and offers benefits. Part-time applicants will also be considered.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, voice, and communication disorders among elementary school students.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to student needs.
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals to support student progress.
- Maintain accurate records of therapy sessions and student progress.
- Provide consultation and training to staff and families to promote effective communication strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure or certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Experience working with elementary students, specifically grades K-5.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills to engage effectively with students, parents, and school staff.
- Familiarity with evaluation tools and therapeutic approaches for speech and language disorders.
Location:
- In-person position based in Detroit, Michigan.
Schedule and Commitment:
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week preferred; part-time applicants will be considered.
- Contract lasts through the remainder of the current school year.
