Make a positive impact supporting elementary-aged students as a Speech-Language Pathologist working in a vibrant school environment near Detroit, MI. This contract position provides the opportunity to work with grades K-5, offering tailored services that enrich students communication skills and overall educational experience. With a flexible start, this in-person role runs through the remainder of the school year and can accommodate candidates seeking either full or part-time schedules (up to 37.5 hours per week).
Desired Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid state licensure/certification as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Previous experience working with elementary school children (K-5) is highly valued
- Strong collaboration skills with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Ability to implement evidence-based interventions within the school setting
- Strong organizational and communication skills
Role Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language services for students in kindergarten through 5th grade
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines
- Support students with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to a positive school culture
