Step into a vital role supporting elementary students in an ASD (Autism Spectrum Disorder) setting for the entire 20262027 school year. This contract opportunity is onsite and designed for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist holding full CCCs and an active Michigan SLP license. You will work closely with a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students, making a real impact on their communication skills in a school-based setting near Detroit, MI.
Desired Skills & Experience:
- Current, active SLP license in the state of Michigan
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) required
- Previous experience with school-aged children, ideally within an ASD population
- Ability to collaborate with other educators, staff, and families to ensure students progress
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy to elementary students diagnosed with ASD
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students unique needs
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and data for student files and IEP meetings
- Conduct assessments as needed, and participate in multidisciplinary teams
- Communicate regularly with staff and families to discuss student goals and developments
