This contract position focuses on delivering vital speech and language services to 6th-8th graders, helping them reach their communication goals and succeed both academically and socially.
What Youll Bring:
- Active Michigan Speech Language Pathologist license
- Certification of Clinical Competencies (CCC) preferred
- Background working in school-based or pediatric settings
- Experience with teletherapy and/or clinical fellowship year (CFY) strongly valued
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
- Passion for fostering student growth and engagement
What Youll Do:
- Provide comprehensive speech and language therapy to middle school students across diverse needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Collaborate with teachers, counselors, and families to support students academic and social development
- Monitor progress and document outcomes in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Adapt therapy methods to meet each students unique goals
- Participate actively in IEP meetings, assessments, and team planning sessions
- Educate staff and families on strategies to support carryover of skills
