Your responsibilities will include collaborating with school staff and parents to develop and implement effective speech and language strategies, monitoring student progress, and adapting interventions to maximize the students communicative success. With a flexible commitment of just 3 to 5 hours each week, this position is ideal for professionals balancing other commitments or seeking to supplement their current workload.

Desired Qualifications and Experience:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Active Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Michigan state licensure, or eligibility to obtain prior to start
  • Previous school-based experience is highly valued
  • Comfortable working one-on-one and adapting services in unique educational settings
  • Strong communication and organizational skills

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver direct speech-language therapy to one student in an alternative setting
  • Maintain thorough, timely documentation and progress notes
  • Collaborate with school teams and families for optimal student progress
  • Develop and adjust individualized treatment plans as needed
