Job Description

Step into a dynamic school-based contract role where you can put your passion for speech-language pathology to work near beautiful Desert Hot Springs! Multiple SLPs are needed for the upcoming school year, providing services across several schools in the lively Palm Desert area. As an SLP, youll support students throughout the 2025-2026 academic year, working a consistent 37.5-hour week. This is an engaging opportunity for both clinical fellows and experienced SLPs (CCC), as caseload and specific ages or grades will be assigned closer to the start of the school year.

Key Qualifications:

  • Possess a valid CA SLP license or CA CTC.
  • Open to SLPs with CCC or those in their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
  • Background in pediatrics and experience within school or healthcare settings is highly desirable.
  • Confident in performing IEPs, evaluations, and providing both direct and indirect therapy services.
  • Adaptable and comfortable working across multiple school sites.
  • Collaborative, organized, and committed to fostering student success.
  • Ability to work independently without district-provided supervision (no Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN support included).

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned caseload with professionalism and compassion.
  • Conduct evaluations and assessments as part of IEP teams.
  • Provide individualized and group therapies based on student needs.
  • Deliver services in accordance with each students IEP while maintaining compliance and timely documentation.
  • Collaborate with educators and parents to encourage progress and positive outcomes.
  • Flexibly support a range of grade levels as caseload details are determined.
