Job Description

A full-semester contract opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) specializing in healthcare, pediatrics, and school settings. This role is based in the Palm Desert area of California and offers an engaging caseload working with children across multiple school sites. The position is ideal for candidates holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or California Speech-Language Pathology credentials, including those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations.
  • Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs).
  • Provide both direct and indirect therapy services tailored to student needs.
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress.
  • Manage multiple caseloads across several schools.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Valid California SLP license or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification.
  • Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology, especially within educational environments.
  • Familiarity with typical SLP duties such as evaluations, progress monitoring, and IEP development.
  • Ability to work independently without district-provided supervision (no para, RBT, CNA, or LPN support).
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, adaptable to changing age groups and school assignments.

Position Details:

  • Location: Palm Desert, CA 92211.
  • Contract Duration: Full semester (NSY 25-26).
  • Work Hours: Approximately 37.5 hours per week.
  • Multiple schools assigned within the district.
  • Student age groups and specific grade levels to be determined closer to the school year.
