Job Description

This contract opportunity is seeking several skilled Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to serve multiple schools in Palm Desert, CA, for the 2025-2026 academic year. Candidates with experience in school-based speech therapy and credentials such as CA SLP licensure or California Commission on Teacher Credentialing (CTC) certification are encouraged to apply.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for students
  • Develop, implement, and document Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
  • Provide direct and indirect speech therapy services tailored to students needs
  • Collaborate with educators and families to support student progress
  • Manage caseloads spanning various age groups; specific grade levels will be clarified closer to the school year
  • Maintain compliance with school district policies and procedures

Qualifications:

  • CA Speech-Language Pathology license or valid CA CTC credential required
  • Experience working in school settings preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple caseloads across several school locations
  • Strong knowledge of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently without supervision from paraprofessionals or related support staff

Work Details:

  • Location: Palm Desert, CA 92211
  • Contract employment for the 2025-2026 school year
  • Approximately 37.5 hours per week
  • Assignment across multiple schools within the district
