Job Description

Make a difference this summer supporting students communication growth as a dedicated speech-language pathologist in a school-based role. An enthusiastic SLP is needed for Extended School Year (ESY) services, working with students from PreK through 8th grade. This opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in a school setting and passionate about helping children reach their full potential.

Assignment Details:

  • Extended School Year: June 10th June 2nd, 2026
  • Serve students ranging from PreK to 8th grade
  • Contract position, 12 hours per week, offering a manageable and rewarding summer schedule
  • Support students speech and language needs in a collaborative and engaging school environment

Required Qualifications:

  • Active Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
  • Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
  • Previous experience working with school-aged children is highly valued
  • Strong communication, organization, and documentation abilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations, interpreting results for families and school teams
  • Develop and implement effective IEP-driven therapy for a varied student caseload
  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and caregivers to maximize each students progress
  • Maintain thorough records, progress notes, and timely documentation in compliance with state and district requirements
  • Actively engage in ESY planning and support, adapting interventions as needed
