Job Description

Step into an impactful role as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist, supporting students in a diverse and thriving school network that serves communities throughout the Chicago area, including North Chicago, Waukegan, and surrounding cities. You'll work with PreK-8th grade students, making a meaningful difference in their communication development and academic success. This is a full-time, in-person contract position beginning July 20, 2026, and concluding June 11, 2027.

Utilize your expertise to deliver comprehensive speech-language services while connecting with families and students in both English and Spanish. Your skills will empower students to reach their fullest potential in an engaging and collaborative school environment.

Key Qualifications:

  • Valid Speech Language Pathologist license and SLP-CCC credentials required
  • Bilingual proficiency in English and Spanish (required)
  • Experience providing speech-language services in a school setting, preferably with PreK-8 students
  • Strong understanding of IEP development and documentation
  • Knowledge of culturally responsive practices and a passion for serving multilingual populations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in PreK-8
  • Develop and implement individualized therapy plans tailored to each students unique needs
  • Participate in IEP meetings and collaborate with educators, specialists, and families
  • Maintain accurate records and progress notes
  • Provide intervention in both English and Spanish, fostering an inclusive environment
  • Educate and counsel families on strategies to support student communication skills at home
