Job Description

Embark on an impactful contract opportunity as a Speech Language Pathologist working onsite in a supportive elementary school setting near Des Plaines, IL. This position empowers you to make a significant difference in the lives of K-5th grade students with a range of needs, including autism spectrum disorder, cerebral palsy, and various learning disabilities. Youll collaborate using a push-in service model across a manageable caseload of 20-40 students, helping to foster communication skills and unlock students academic potential.

Your expertise will play a vital role on an interdisciplinary team dedicated to meeting diverse student needs. The contract consists of 37.5 hours per week, offering a balanced schedule and the space to deliver high-quality, personalized student support.

Qualifications sought include:

  • Illinois PEL with SLP endorsement required
  • Strong background or familiarity with K-5th grade populations and a variety of student needs
  • Experience applying inclusive, adaptive strategies (push-in, collaboration with educators)
  • Ability to develop and implement IEP goals
  • Eagerness to engage in ongoing professional growth and knowledge sharing
  • Excellent communication and organization skills

Core responsibilities involve:

  • Assessment, planning, and delivery of speech-language therapy for a diverse student population
  • Collaborating with teachers and other therapists to maximize student outcomes
  • Writing comprehensive evaluations and IEP documentation
  • Providing training and consultation to staff and families as needed
  • Tracking and reporting student progress
