Job Description
This position offers an opportunity for a Speech-Language Pathologist to provide specialized support in a therapeutic day school setting serving students with Autism and life skills needs. The role is open to Clinical Fellowship Year candidates and involves working with a caseload of approximately 20 students in K-12 classrooms.
Location: Des Plaines, IL
Duration: Current school year contract (CSY)
Schedule: 30 hours per week
Setting: Therapeutic day school
Responsibilities include:
- Delivering individual and group speech-language therapy services to students with diverse communication needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other professionals to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Documenting student progress and maintaining accurate records in compliance with school and state regulations
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings and ongoing professional development
Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Illinois Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) license
- Professional Educators License (PEL) for Illinois schools issued by ISBE
- Willingness to work in a therapeutic school environment with students diagnosed with Autism and life skills challenges
- Open to Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates
