Job Description
Seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist with bilingual (Portuguese/English) abilities to complete a specialized evaluation assignment in a supportive school environment. This contract opportunity focuses on serving PreK students for one evaluation, offering flexibility and the chance to make a meaningful difference in early childhood education.
Key Qualifications:
- Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology and active state licensure required
- Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English
- Experience working with young children, preferably in school-based settings
- Ability to complete comprehensive evaluations and provide culturally responsive services
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Responsibilities:
- Conduct a thorough evaluation for a PreK student, adhering to district and special education guidelines
- Collaborate with district staff to gather necessary documentation and participate in team meetings as needed
- Complete all evaluation reports and paperwork within required timelines
- Utilize the districts IEP system (training provided)
- Attend a Zoom interview with administrative staff before assignment begins
This assignment is part-time23 hours per weekat a single school site, eliminating extensive travel. The contract runs through June 5, 2026. The district offers flexibility in scheduling, immediate decision-making following the interview, and thorough onboarding with dedicated training on systems and procedures.
