A contract opportunity is available for a bilingual (Portuguese-speaking) Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to conduct one evaluation within a school district near Derry, NH. This position requires providing specialized evaluation services for a PreK student and offers a flexible schedule of approximately 2-3 hours per week. The assignment is slated to begin as soon as possible and continues through June 5, 2026.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct one comprehensive speech-language evaluation for a PreK student in accordance with district protocols
- Collaborate remotely via Zoom for interviews and coordination with the school team
- Utilize expertise in bilingual Portuguese language services during evaluation
- Prepare detailed evaluation reports for Individualized Education Program (IEP) development
- Maintain compliance with all district and state regulations for school-based speech services
Qualifications and Experience:
- Valid state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)
- Proficiency in Portuguese is required to effectively assess bilingual students
- Experience working within schools and understanding of special education evaluation processes
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and coordinate via virtual platforms
- Familiarity with IEP systems and procedures preferred
