Job Description

A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) is needed for a contract position in Denver, CO, serving a K-8 caseload in a school setting. This onsite role offers 32 hours per week from ASAP through the end of the school year, focusing on delivering specialized communication support to students with diverse needs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with Special Education Teachers to create daily schedules, coordinate testing, and plan annual IEP meetings
  • Maintain and update speech and language caseload lists to ensure accurate records within the master Special Education roster
  • Provide specially designed instruction through resource room, inclusion, or pullout models tailored to each students communication goals
  • Work closely with staff and families to monitor student progress and support achievement of IEP objectives

Qualifications:

  • Masters degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
  • Active state licensure or eligibility as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Experience working with at-risk or special education students is preferred
  • Strong communication, organizational, and collaborative skills essential
