A rewarding opportunity awaits skilled Speech-Language Pathologists eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students. Serving several school locations in Florida, these contract roles offer diverse placements, including elementary, middle, and high school settings. Openings are available for both full-time and part-time positions, with supervision for Clinical Fellows provided.
Start dates range from specific maternity leave coverage to school-year-long positions, all beginning in August and concluding at the end of May. Each assignment offers a chance to build strong student relationships and collaborate with dedicated educators. Experience supporting severe-profound populations as well as proficiency with augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) is essential for these roles.
Key Experience & Qualifications:
- Active FL Speech-Language Pathologist License (CCC credential strongly preferred)
- Previous work in school settings as an SLP, with demonstrated experience supporting populations with significant needs
- Skilled in evaluation, diagnosis, and individualized treatment planning
- Proficient use and integration of AAC systems
- Commitment to inclusive, student-centered communication support
- Strong communication skills for collaboration with parents, teachers, and allied professionals
- Positions are not open to SLPAs or virtual arrangements
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language therapy and intervention per individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Complete evaluations, progress monitoring, and timely documentation
- Consult and partner with staff and families to optimize student communication in both academic and social contexts
- Provide direct and indirect support for students across a range of grade levels
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute to team planning
